The expansion of UTECO’s sensor production area was an opportunity for its lean transformation. BUSINESS ELEMENTS evaluated and redesigned the production process, operations and the new production layout. In order to carry out the project, BUSINESS ELEMENTS adapted the methodological core of lean manufacturing to the needs of UTECO’s production processes, considering the data limitations and parameters of its
production activities. Result of the project was
- The spatial rearrangement of the production equipment, as well as the positions of intermediate and complete products and materials, in order to best serve the flows of the production process.
- A new way of operating and organizing the resources which is compatible with the new equipment layout
- Other improvement actions (coding, labeling, computerization, etc.)
