The company MELLON TECHNOLOGIES due to the significant increase in demand for its products was looking for ways to improve operation of the warehouse and consequently its operating costs. The team of engineers of Business Elements in collaboration with the company’s executives, implemented a project, the object of which was the study of a better way of operating the warehouse, with the principles of lean warehousing methodology and support – guidance in implementing the resulting interventions. .
The result of the project was the complete spatial rearrangement of the warehouse, its marking, coding of items, the use of new computer and mechanical equipment, the establishment of new rules of operation, the reorganization of its basic functions and the determination of key operating indicators.
